Denver Bars & Events for St Patty’s Day

The Mile High City knows how to put on a good party, especially for Saint Patrick’s Day. With one of the biggest parades around, Denver’s downtown becomes a collection of kilts, shamrocks, green beer, and good times.

In celebration of the holiday, several Denver bars host their parties and festivals with live music, entertainment, plus drink and food specials. We’ve curated a list of the top bars and events in Denver for St. Patrick’s Day. You can also check out a list of Irish bars around Denver for even more places to celebrate and feel the ambiance of Ireland year round.

Here are some of the St Patty’s Day events and pubs around Denver, CO:

St. Patrick’s Day Block Party at Fado Irish Pub

Where: held at Revel Social, 2229 Blake Street

Join Fado Irish Pub (closed, but still event organizers) for the St. Patrick’s Day Block Party in conjunction with Mile High Spirits and Revel Social. For over 20 years, Fado Irish Pub has hosted one of Denver’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day party with music all day long (9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.), cocktail and beer stations, food trucks, and more. Tickets are $25 at the door and $20 in advance. The event is held Saturday, March 14th.

Irish Snug

Where: 1201 East Colfax

Located in Denver’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, the Irish Snug is a popular choice amongst locals as their go-to Irish bar. With over 20 draft beer selections and over 70 whisky options, there is no shortage of drink choices to get you started. Beyond its whisky and beer selection, the Irish Snug also serves up a tasty brunch with daily specials and happy hours.

Join them on March 17th for their annual Saint Patrick’s Day party, featuring live music from Chancer’s Hooley, dancing, and of course plenty of hats, Guinness and green beer. Doors open at 10:00 a.m.

Irish Rover Pub

Where: 54 South Broadway

Found along Denver’s South Broadway, the Irish Rover Pub is a great option for your Saint Patrick’s Day celebration. Irish owned and operated, the Rover makes the perfect place to grab a pint and enjoy classic Irish eats, that isn’t just bar food. With its wall of whisky selections and beers on tap, the taste of Ireland comes to Denver. Enjoy your drinks inside the dark brick atmosphere or take it upstairs to the rooftop bar that offers fun views of Denver.

Celebrating on both March 14th and 17th, the Irish Rover will host their Saint Patrick’s Day party. The celebration will include Irish dancers, live music, bagpipers, corned beef, and beer!

Clancy’s

Where: 7000 West 38th Avenue, Wheat Ridge

Established in 1973, Clancy’s Irish Pub is a neighborhood pub in Wheat Ridge, serving Irish grub and drinks, weekly brunch, and live bands. Join Clancy’s this Saint Patrick’s Day for a four-day celebration leading up to the big day. Enjoy live music and entertainment from The Constant Tourist, Michael Collins Pipes and Drums, plus Wick School of Irish Dance. The event is held Saturday, March 14 from 11:00 a.m. to midnight.

Scruffy Murphy’s Irish Pub

Where: 2030 Larimer Street

Join in on the fun at Scruffy Murphy’s for the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade. Located just two blocks from where the parade will take place, Scruffy’s is a great place to post up and enjoy their live music, beer tent, and food vendors.

Nallen’s Irish Pub

Where: 1429 Market Street

Located in Denver’s lower downtown, Nallen’s Irish Pub is an authentic and relaxed pub filled with Irish memorabilia that makes for a fun spot to grab your pint of Guinness. No food is served, but they proudly offer drink happy hour specials daily.

The Abbey Tavern

Where: 5151 East Colfax Avenue

For a family-friendly event, check out The Abbey Tavern. The event is held Saturday, March 14, starting at 10:00 a.m. Enjoy live music, a pipe band, Irish dancing, and other kid-friendly activities.

Slattery’s Irish Pub

Where: 5364 Greenwood Plaza Boulevard

Your neighborhood pub in the Denver Tech Center, Slattery’s Irish Pub is another option for your St. Patty’s Day fun. Join them for their celebration on March 14 for drinks specials and a chance to customize your very own Guinness pint.

ViewHouse BallPark

Where: 2015 Market Street

Join the View House at their BallPark location for a weekend-long St. Patrick’s Day celebration. This free event features Irish food and drink specials, a live DJ, $5 beer green specials, giveaways, and more. Held Friday, March 13 through Sunday, March 15.

Luck of the Irish Pub Crawl

Of course, if you don’t want to just go to one bar for St. Patrick’s Day, then be sure to sign up for the Luck of the Irish Pub Crawl. Galivant from one Irish pub to the next, enjoying the best parties and drink specials in town. Start your journey at Howl at the Moon, and get your list of participating venues. The event begins at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, March 14.
